Former CIA Director of Counterintelligence, James Jesus Angleton, also known as the "Spy Poet", described the intelligence game as a "Desert of Mirrors", a phrase borrowed from a poem by T.S. Eliot, called Gerontion (the title is Greek for "little old man," and the poem is an interior monologue, connecting the opinions and impressions of an elderly man who describes Europe after World War I through the eyes of a man who lived most of his life in the 19th century). John le Carré'll enjoy this spy thriller

The writing is for adults and he is not afraid to take his time to let the story and intrigue develop. Michael Fassbender is perfectly cast in the lead role, as a Martian. Jeffrey Wright, always terrific, is brilliant in this complex role of Harry Ogletree. It's great to see Richard Gere back as the head of the London office after thinking Hollywood had given up on him.

I've always liked John Magaro

Jodie Turner-Smith is a great choice for the role of Sami Zahir. I mentioned John Le Carré at the beginning because this series plays like a great spy novel. You have to settle for his rhythms and nuances, not car chases and gunfights!
