Director Fede Alvarez sought out the special effects team from Alien 2 (1986) to work on the creatures. Physical sets, practical creatures and miniatures were used wherever possible to help address the subsequent VFX work.

When Rain turns off the ship's gravity and shoots all the aliens, all their blood is suspended in the air in long, butter-like patterns. . Zero gravity in real life causes liquids to form in sphere shapes, not spread out in long, flat chunks like in the movie.. Fanfara Studios 20th Century it freezes and turns ominous, as in Alien 3 (1992), leading into the film's opening scene.

clichés to add any real color to the plot and screenplay
The characters for the most part are totally flabby and devoid of any real character other than Andy. I honestly had no emotional attachment to most of the characters and most of them were just annoying and gross. The movie was lame at times, seeming to take an age to get going and relying heavily on the Alien franchise. The special effects were good enough and the design of the original xenomorph was excellent, although the face hugging elements look worse in this movie than in Alien and Aliens for some reason.

I'm not too excited about the current hype surrounding Romulus, it's not a terrible movie, but it's not great either. As a big fan of the originals, I left disappointed.. The final season of "What We Do in the Shadows"; is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
